Train like the
data says you should.

The Pro Performance Programme is a weekly hybrid coaching system built inside Manchester's most respected injury clinic — clinical screening, individualised programming, and a coach in your pocket. Run in blocks of different lengths depending on your goals. No more guessing. No more setbacks.

coach-to-athlete reviews
“I was nine months post-ACL and my surgeon said I was cleared. Tom's assessment showed a 31% bilateral deficit — I wasn't ready. That data probably stopped me re-injuring. I'm now fully back playing at a higher level than before the injury.”
— Dan K.
Amateur footballer, Manchester

01 — The problem

You don't need another generic plan.

Most athletes train hard. Few train right. The ones who keep progressing aren't working harder — they know their bilateral deficits, their force asymmetries, their exact strength limits. Without that data, you're guessing. And guessing has a ceiling.

02 — The method

Test. Programme. Perform.

A clinic-grade process, delivered with the responsiveness of a private coach. Built in Manchester. Run anywhere.

Test
01

Test

A full-body clinical screen and objective testing on VALD ForceDecks and VALD HHD — the same kit used by professional clubs and research institutions. We measure bilateral strength, force output, and asymmetry to find exactly what's limiting your performance.

Programme
02

Programme

Built by an injury specialist.

Your results don't sit in a report. They become a weekly plan — designed around your deficits, your sport, and your injury history. Every session has a purpose. Every week builds on the last. This is expert programming, not generic training.

Perform
03

Perform

Higher force output. Higher strength ceiling. Faster times. You finish the programme with objective data showing exactly how far you've moved — and a body that performs at a level you can prove.

02.5 — The technology

Elite-team kit.
Built into your programme.

Every assessment runs on VALD — the same professional-grade equipment used by Premier League clubs, international federations and university research labs. Numbers you can actually trust.

  • FORCEDECKS — Dual Force Plate System
±2N resolution. 1000Hz sampling rate. 6 key metrics per jump. Used by professional clubs, national squads, and research institutions worldwide — now built into your programme. Bilateral force, asymmetry, reactive strength — the complete picture of how your body actually moves under load.

What it measures
  • Bilateral Asymmetry Index
The % force difference left vs right limb, rep by rep.
  • Rate of Force Development (RFD)
How fast you generate force in milliseconds. Sprint speed and first-step explosion live here.
  • Reactive Strength Index (RSI)
Jump height divided by ground contact time. Your nervous system efficiency score.
  • Peak Force & Impulse
Max ground reaction force and total force over time. The raw output your programme is built to move.
  • Eccentric Load Capacity
Force absorbed on landing. The most overlooked injury risk metric in sport.

02.6 — The technology

VALD Dynamo

HANDHELD DYNAMOMETER

The VALD Dynamo isolates each joint individually — testing isometric strength in Newtons with clinical precision. Results take minutes. The data lasts your entire programme.

What it measures
  • Limb Symmetry Index (LSI)
The gold-standard return-to-sport benchmark. Side-by-side strength compared joint by joint.
  • Joint-by-Joint Deficit
Pinpoints the exact muscle or movement pattern holding your performance back.
  • Combined VALD Profile
Dynamo strength data layered with ForceDecks force output. The most complete performance picture available outside elite sport.
01

Strength

Velocity-based progression, individualised to your force-velocity profile.

02

Conditioning

Energy-system work mapped to your sport — not generic intervals.

03

Rehab

Integrated tissue-capacity work to bulletproof historical injury sites.

04

Recovery

Periodisation-informed deloads. Built into the block so you peak when it matters and absorb when you need to.

03 — What's inside

Everything you'd expect from a pro setup.

We've taken the workflow we use with professional athletes and rebuilt it as a hybrid product — same clinicians, same standards, no commute required (unless it's leg day at the clinic).

Written Performance Reports

The data tells us where. The programme takes you there.

Most athletes train hard and plateau. The Pro Performance Programme combines clinical-grade testing with injury-specialist programming — so every session is built on evidence, not guesswork. That's the difference between working hard and working right.

04 — Meet your coach

Tom Shaw. One clinician. Every programme.

Tom Shaw is the Clinic Director and Head Therapist behind the Pro Performance Programme. He works with full-time professional athletes — from Hyrox World Champions and Cage Warriors MMA title holders to national-level runners and elite-level gym competitors. He also works with the everyday gym goer who just wants to train with the same rigour the pros use.

Whatever your level, the process is the same: test the data, build from the numbers, close the loop. The Pro Performance Programme is the system Tom runs with his highest-performing clients — now available as a structured hybrid programme for anyone serious enough to use it.

06 — Questions

Before you apply.

Do I have to live in Manchester?+

No. The assessment must happen at our Manchester clinic — after that, the Hybrid tier is fully remote. Pro and Performance tiers include in-clinic work, so they suit local athletes.

What level of athlete is this for?+

We work with professional athletes, serious amateurs and competitive masters athletes across running, rugby, football, lifting and combat sports. If you train hard and want it to add up to something measurable, you'll fit.

What if I'm currently injured?+

Good — that's our wheelhouse. The programme integrates rehab into your training rather than treating them as separate workstreams. You won't lose 12 weeks waiting to start.

How long is the commitment?+

We run in 12-week blocks. You can pause, continue, or step down a tier after each block. No annual contracts.

What app do I use?+

We deliver programming through CoachRx with bespoke dashboards for your testing data. Everything lives in one place — programme, messages, videos, metrics.
